Blue-Ray Biotech to Unveil New Thermal Cycler at Biotechnica 2017

Blue-Ray Biotech Corporation, a professional biotech instrument manufacturer, will exhibit at Biotechnica 2017 in Hannover (Germany) from May 16 to 18. In addition to presenting its full line of products, including thermal cyclers, pipette controllers, and microcentrifuge, Blue-Ray Biotech will take the opportunity to introduce a new addition to its thermal cycler line - TurboCycler Lite.

As PCR technology has become more and more widely used in the medical and biological fields, the needs of the user have also become different. For some applications, the total ownership cost (TOC) is critical. TurboCycler Lite is a reliable, robust PCR machine with extremely high cost/performance value. It has a high heating rate, fast boot up, and accurate temperature control. TurboCycler Lite ensures efficient and accurate PCR processing. The unit is compact in size and has front-to-back venting which allows two machines to be placed side-by-side to save precious bench space. The monochrome display and touch panel provide a friendly user interface while keeping the cost down. All these features make it an ideal solution for growing service centers and the education market.

The other PCR machine to be presented will be TurboCycler which has been designed to greatly improve PCR performance. Equipped with a 7”capacitive color touch screen, the friendly graphic user interface of TurboCycler makes operation highly intuitive, almost like a smart mobile phone. The heating rate is up to 5.5°C per second and booting takes only 45 seconds. Excellent temperature accuracy and uniformity ensures the most reliable PCR results. An optional Wi-Fi module and free TurboApp allows the working status of the PCR to be monitored anytime, anywhere, from a mobile device.

Blue-Ray will also showcase BlueSwan pipette controller and TurboFuge microcentrifuge at the show. The handy and elegant design of BlueSwan allows comfortable and precise pipetting. This lightweight (180g) and ergonomic design makes repetitive pipetting easy and comfortable. The wall mount and self-inverted design increases flexibility and also saves work space. The easy speed control and protective hole ensure precise and safe liquid handling. TurboFuge is a compact and robust ambient centrifuge. It comes with reliable safety features: dual locking and a motorized lid, an aluminum rotor with an unlimited life cycle, anti-lid drop protection, and an optional aerosol-tight rotor lid. In addition, a high-capacity motor, a 36 well rotor option, and WiFi remote monitoring, all combine to increase centrifugation efficiency.
