11, September 2014: We are delighted to announce that The Exmoor White Horse Inn has been selected for inclusion in this years Camra's (Campaign for Real Ale) Good Beer Guide 2015. A guide that picks it's establishments on merit, by local CAMRA members and often as a result of recommendations from users of the guide. It's a remarkable achievement for The Exmoor White Horse Inn to have earned its place in the guide and speaks volumes for the quality of the ales that it serves.

As is so often the case these days, a huge emphases is put on using local produce, and the Inn has a close association with both Exmoor Ales and Cotleigh Brewery, both based in the small Somerset town of Wiveliscombe on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Peter and Linda Hendrie who now don the accolade not only as the longest serving licences on Exmoor, but also the longest serving licences in the history of the Inn, are now entering their twenty-sixth year in charge.

For over Five Hundred Years the Inn has stood on the banks of the river Exe in the picturesque moorland village of Exford serving fine ales and food along with offering the discerning traveller a restful place to retire. Idyllic as it sounds, one can just imagine oneself enjoying a sumptuous pint of ale sitting by the river Exe watching the world go by...
