Having a "log in and do this once per day, every day" requirement for anything limited is arbitrary; it requires no challenge and offers nothing other than inconvenience to players.

Sometimes unforeseen circumstances lock players out of rewards too. If there's an event which requires you to log in once per day for 30 days, and on day #29 the player's Internet is down for the day -- it's pretty unfair (which is why they're bad.)

Though with the above in mind I'm not putting this into context of the Beach content because I've little-to-no interest in it personally, and have no idea why it works. I'm just posting an assertion against content which forces you to log in once per day or complete any other arbitrary requirement.

Logging on daily for 30 consecutive days was exactly the requirement for obtaining all the rewards during the 'Super September' event when it was first launched. That event was quickly nerfed to only require 25 days, following exactly the same complaints from players on the forums.

The Beach event has something similar with the treasure map, which (according to the BTS video) only requires players to log on for 20 days in total to unlock the overrides.
