Institute for Interactive Performance Announces SimPerformer.com

A new marketplace for Industry Partners and Simulation Performers

Winchester, VA – The Institute for Interactive Performance announced today the highly anticipated beta launch of SimPerformer.com. Acting as a marketplace for Industry Partners to find qualified Simulation Performers, Simperformer.com allows both sides to connect with an ease that was not available before. Initially, the registry will serve the DC/Virginia/Maryland area, with an eye toward a future nationwide expansion in the coming year.

In an effort to facilitate communication between simulation performers and industry partners that utilize live action simulations, the Institute for Interactive Performance (IIP) has created SimPerformer.com. The SimPerformer registry will assist industry partners in accessing talent for their simulations, whether they be medical, military, legal, first responder, or other. The Institute is currently working on an app that is scheduled for an early October release that would allow performers to register and check in on their smart devices, and allow Industry partners to easily connect with the performers scheduled for their event.

Joanne Ruscella, Executive Director of the Institute for Interactive Performance, stated, “We are excited and proud to offer this service to both our Industry Partners and our Simulation Performers. By creating this application, we can create both quality experiences for the partners and assist them in meeting their training goals, while creating jobs for those actors and performers that may be seeking additional training and opportunity in their craft.”

Interested performers can go to the website at simperformer.com to register and create a profile for upcoming simulation events. Industry Partners looking for qualified performers for their simulation and training events can also register and the Institute will contact them to find out their specific simulation needs.
