ODU Connectors are exhibiting at Southern Manufacturing [Farnborough March 21st-23rd 2017]

In the UK, ODU are probably best known for their miniature, military push-pull connectors. Notably, since 2002, ODU have supplied more than 100,000 helmet connectors for the Bowman military communications programme, without a single reported connector failure.

The ODU-AMC® [Advanced Military Connector] series was originally developed to meet the ever-demanding needs of the many international Future Soldier programmes, intended to equip the average ground-based combat soldier with an integrated set of high-technology equipment, linked to an array of battlefield information resources.                                                                                           This range of rugged connectors was expanded to offer high performance data transmission, high band-width, high reliability and easy handling in any harsh environment - in sizes that are typically one-third smaller and lighter than using MIL-Std housings with commercial inserts. The AMC® range includes numerous high-density signal configerations, transfer rates up to 10Gbit, versions for combined signal & power up to 15A - all in a very compact package.

But it's not just technology for the military

Although ODU undoubtably established it's pedigree in the military market, it has not been slow to transfer technolgy and lessons-learned to connector solutions for other markets, such as medical equipment, instrumentation, factory automation & robotics etc with the ODU-MAC® Modular Connectors.

ODU-MAC Silver-Line                                                                                      The all-rounder for automatic docking - six different docking-frame types, each in cusomizable lengths, with multiple modules including high-speed data options.

ODU-MAC White-Line                                                                                     The option for manual mating - the same technical performance as Silver-Line, but in a multiple choice of metal and plastic housings, with snap-in, spindle or lever locking.

ODU-MAC Blue-Line                                                                                Tool-free and clip-mounted - ideal for on-site assembly, with loading and unloading of the crimp contacts possible even after assembly and faulty clipping-in of modules prevented through mechanical and visual coding.
