Two entrepreneurs are offering to create a new app that could revolutionize advertising. Maria and Mike Thomas from Tampa, Florida have conceived an app called Modern Connect that collects basic demographic data to allow a business to accurately track the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns using real time statistics. The app uses a Modern Connect Index Number (MCIN), which is similar to a pin that can be placed on new or existing print, digital ads, radio adverts, or even billboards. When a consumer sees the Modern Connect logo and MCIN displayed on an advertisement, they simply speak it into the app to be instantly connected with that particular business.
The MCIN is easy to remember and will eliminate the need for consumers to scan outdated QR codes, find a business on Facebook, or search the internet in order to locate a business. It all works through Modern Connect’s app-based portal. The MCIN’s are automatically assigned once a business signs up on the Modern Connect website. They are currently offering 4 basic plans ranging from the $100 Techie to the $1500 Gladiator plan. Each plan comes with a set number of MCIN’s, an admin interface, real time statistics and 24/7 support. The type of plan selected solely depends upon the business’s advertising needs.
Aside from being able to download advertising statistics in real time, the Modern Connect app boasts several additional features for business owners.

In addition, I also wanted to create a platform that would help small business owners identify new markets that may not have been previously identified through traditional advertising. “
The app creators are hoping to raise funds to make this project and app a reality and release it later this year. The funding will go towards the programming of both the frontend and backend (admin panel) of the application. Funding will also be used to kick start marketing efforts and build the Modern Connect brand. They have launched a crowdfunding campaign with a duration of 38 days from today.
