Roseneath is one of the nicest places of Wellington, overlooking Oriental bay and the whole city. The view is just breath taking at night (and pretty amazing daytime too). The 180 degrees view is exactly the same you would enjoy from the top of Mt. Victoria Look out!

Btw: There are more bars and restaurants in Wellington per capita than anywhere in the world. The food is amazing, people are super friendly, after all this is the Middle of Middle Earth, what else you could wish for.
