SyncRUNize Happening in Arca South This September 19th

Test Your Wits. Challenge Your Limits. This is SyncRUNize Manila's mantra. Apparently, this will not be your ordinary race event as it will really challenge any runners' physical, mental and digital quotient. A participant needs to download the SyncRUNize app primarily since the entire event will be based on this app, making it the very first mobile app-integrated adventure run in the Philippines.

Further, the event will happen in Arca South event grounds. Dubbed as the City in Sync, there is no better venue for this 5-kilometer race. Stephen Comia, the Project Development Manager to Arca South, said that SyncRUNize is the most appropriate event to be held in the place as it embodies the principle behind a City in Sync. The event will also feature on-site interactive booths that both runners and non-runners can participate.

Further, SyncRUNize comprises officiated and timed endurance obstacles that participants need to pass before they can proceed to the next obstacle. The directions for each obstacle will come from the mobile app. Participants will also solve the puzzles through the app. With each successfully completed challenge, the team will earn points or stickers for non-app challenges. Points, as well as routes and progress, will be recorded on the participant's app profile. Cash and raffle prizes amounting to Php90,000 will be given away.

Arca South's partners include Guerilla Race and Go Go Hunt, among others. Guerilla Race is responsible for designing the obstacle course while Go Go Hunts takes care of the mental drills that include calculations and abstract reasoning. On the other hand, the organizers also partnered with the HERO (Help Educate and Rear Orphans) Foundation. Ten percent (10%) of the total proceeds will benefit the children of soldiers who are injured, incapacitated or killed while in the line of duty as educational aid.

The event requires Php1,000 joining fee for individuals and Php990 each for a group of four. You may register online through syncrunize.com/#olreg or through Arca South's website. Likewise, you can go to any Christ Sports branch to register. The site offers 25% discount if you'll register now. Registration ends on September 18, 2015.

Bring with you your race kits, which will be available for pickup on various participating establishments such as Fox and Christ Sports branches after registering. Just bring the reservation ticket when you claim your race kit. Also, make sure that you have your iOS or Android phones with you as well as your power banks and chargers. Interestingly, the kit contains a special waterproof pouch to cover and protect your gadgets.
