FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., (September 29, 2016) — The Detroit chapter of TiE, the world’s largest non-profit entrepreneurial organization, announced today that Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss partner Holli Targan, and Autobooks CEO Steven Robert will serve as panelists for TiECon Midwest 2016, Michigan’s largest conference to be held October 27 and 28, 2016 at The Henry in Dearborn, Mich. The announcement was made today by TiECon Fintech Chair, Vineet Katial.

“Holli Targan is an award winning attorney with a vast knowledge base of electronic payments and digital transactions,” said Katial. “She will be able to provide critical legal insight on issues that entrepreneurs face today as it relates to payments and what fintech companies need to know about the payment system. Steve Robert is a 2X fintech entrepreneur, having successfully scaled his previous business, Billhighway, to millions of users, processing billions in financial transactions.”

Ms. Targan is chairperson of Jaffe’s electronic payments group, and specializes in credit and debit card processing, fintech, and payment systems law. As counsel to companies in the payments industry domestically and internationally, she advises clients on compliance, contract issues, strategic direction, and merger and acquisition transactions, assisting in buying and selling portfolios and companies.

Mr. Robert is the co-founder and CEO of Autobooks, the first fully integrated payments and accounting platform for small businesses, delivered exclusively through online banking.  Together, Steve and Holli will lend their expertise of the payment industry to help others navigate the complexities and opportunities within fintech.

“TiECON is such a powerful platform to share expertise and ideas alongside so many notable entrepreneurs across the Midwest,” said Targan. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve as a panelist to help attendees navigate the complicated electronic payments ecosystem.”
