The new “Vessel Safety Checks”video shows viewers how to schedule a courtesy VSC, at no charge, with a qualified US Coast Guard Auxiliary or United States Power Squadrons member serving as a Vessel Safety Examiner.

Viewers will also learn how a VSC will improve their understanding of the purpose of marine safety equipment and how it applies to federal, state, and local regulations.

Also featured are how the experience with a Vessel Safety Examiner can not only help ensure that viewers’ boats are safe from bow to stern but also add to their enjoyment of boating.

Along with the new video, the USPS DML is adding a related boater education slideshow on Fuel and Boating as well as several new safe boating images.
