Conflict is an essential part of a workforce in any organization. There is perhaps no workplace in which there is no conflict. This is because people who work there come with different personalities, outlooks, attitudes, experiences and upbringing. Having said this, conflict, as commonly understood, need not always be negative. Conflict sends out a signal that people have their own perspectives or viewpoints on looking at an issue or situation. It means that people have their opinion on something, which could be variance from that of another employee or of the management”, said Satisha Naraharimurthy, Founder and CEO of NetZealous LLC, whose brand TrainHR, which offers professional trainings on human resources, imparts these courses.
Learning ways of handling conflict
Having said this, it is essential to understand and resolve conflict, because when left to grow, it could damage the organization and shake its very roots, believes Shahanshah Manzoor, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at NetZealous LLC. Conflict should only be a mode of understanding what each employee thinks about a certain situation. He says: “The aim of our trainings is to help employees and employers alike understand that while conflict indicates that there is something brewing in the organization that needs to be addressed; if it is allowed to grow beyond a point, it could become unmanageable. Many employees and even HR are sometimes clueless about how to prevent conflict that can go out of hand. Our trainings, being from very well-known experts in the field of HR; offer our participants the tools to assess a conflict situation and understand when to apply these to handle these volatile situations”.
Techniques for handling conflict
This last point is the core purpose of NetZealous LLC’s professional trainings, says Liju Mathew, Co-Founder and Chief Business Development Officer at NetZealous LLC. “While understanding and assessing conflict is one step, the organization, especially management and HR, need to go further. They need to have the techniques for resolving issues arising out of conflict. This is what our trainings furnish them with. This is where our professional trainings stand out. Our experts offer insights into how to do this”, he says.
NetZealous LLC’s trainings are offered in a number of modes such as webinars, seminars and in-house trainings and in-house consulting. These are designed to suit the training needs of professionals across the industry.
