Murder Mystery Texas, a company providing dinner theater and live entertainment events, has announced a new mystery dinner show to begin in September. The new show, “Keith and Margo’s Macabre Mystery Dinner,” will be held at Dark Hour Haunted House in Plano, Texas.
The haunted house setting at Dark Hour will allow Murder Mystery Texas to incorporate paranormal and horror themes into their audience-interactive detective story. The company hopes this will position the dinner as an attractive entertainment option in the months leading up to Halloween. While the show is a murder mystery, it also features a comedic tone and is listed by Murder Mystery Texas as suitable for adults and children over 14.
Admission to Keith and Margo's Macabre Mystery Dinner , which runs from 7:30-10:30 pm, is $59.95 per person. The price does not include tax and tip. Murder Mystery Texas offers a group discount of $5.00 per person when part of a group of 10 or more. Tickets are not available at the door and can be purchased online through their website or in advance via money order. In addition to the show, the price of the ticket includes a buffet dinner catered by Texas catering company Love & War. Also included in the ticket price is an appetizer reception. A cash bar is available.
Murder Mystery Texas focuses their advertisement of the new dinner on the interactive aspects of the program. Throughout the evening, attendees will be surrounded by professional actors who disguise themselves as regular people having dinner and watching the show. The ticket price also includes interactive materials to enhance the experience: cryptograms to crack as you watch the case unfold and prizes for attendees who come up with the most accurate and funniest solutions to the case.
