Vietnam visa on arrival for UK Citizen in Singapore

This is an useful guides for UK citizens to apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival if they are in Singapore.

Vietnamvisa.hk is happy to announce that from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, all UK passport holders travelling for tourism or business or visiting friends or relatives can enter Vietnam for a maximum of 15 days without a visa regardless of where they are, including Singapore.

But the UK citizens still need a visa to enter Vietnam for periods of longer than 15 days and if they wish to re-enter Vietnam within 30 days since their previous departure from Vietnam.

There are currently two options to obtain a Vietnam visa, of which the visa on arrival (VOA) is preferred by many UK passport holders who travel to Vietnam by air thanks to its convenience, easy access and simplicity.

So, what do UK citizens need to do to get a visa on arrival to Vietnam if they are in Singapore?

Application for a visa on arrival for UK citizens in Singapore is made simple in 4 steps as following:

Step 1: Submit online Vietnam visa application at Vietnamvisa.sg. At this step, UK applicants are required to fill the form with information as exactly shown in their passports;

Step 2: Pay for service fee. At this step, the visa applicants will need to first check their information to ensure all details are correct. And then, they are required to make payment of service fee to get their application processed. The payment can be made by Credit/ Debit Card via OnePay/PayPal or cash via Western Union);

Step 3: Get visa approval letter. Within 1 or 2 working days, the applicants will get their visa approval letter via email with detailed instruction to get visa stamped at Vietnam airport.

Step 4: Get visa stamped upon point of arrival at Vietnam airports (Noi Bai, Da nang and Tan Son Nhat).

Although visa on arrival is easy and convenient to apply, all UK citizens should keep in mind that this kind of visa is applicable to those who travel to Vietnam by air only. Otherwise, the approval letter for getting visa upon arrival in Vietnam shall be refused and travelers shall be refused for entry to Vietnam.
