USA, January 19, 2015 – MICRODIA Semiconductor Ltd. (MICRODIA) announced its latest innovative product, the Lighting Adapter with Encryption. It keeps user data secure when uploading or downloading data through using 256-bit encryption. It is especially built and designed for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+.
Authorised Access Only
The Lightning Adapter with Encryption provides further data protection due to the absence of login software on the hardware. So, even if misplaced, the user’s data remains safe against unauthorised access. Unauthorised users will only be able to see a blank folder as all content has been rendered invisible. In such a scenario, the Adapter becomes a simple USB flash drive with limited capacity. Retrieving the information only requires another Lighting Adapter through which the authorised user can enter their user name and password.
Secure Data Transfer and Transport
This extra layer of data protection allows users to manage and employ their data without worrying about security. This is especially important for those who are responsible for transferring sensitive information, regardless of how it is transported, either through digital space (like the Cloud, an intranet, a network or email) or physical space.
Lightning Adpater with Encryption Doubles as a USB Flash Drive Function
The Lightning Adapter with Encryption can also be used as a normal USB flash drive. A switch on the adapter toggles the Adapter between secure data upload and flash memory device. Flash memory capacity is available from 64GB to 256GB.
