POPCON 2016 Brings Deadpool Celebrity Brianna Hildebrand to Dubai This Halloween

Hollywood star to take centre stage in frank conversation with Dubai presenter Hisham Wyne.

Dubai, UAE, October 31, 2016 -- There’s a special treat in store for comic fans and film buffs as POPCON – the 3-day extravaganza of pop culture holds its debut edition in Dubai’s Outlet Mall from October 27th to 29th 2016.

The celebration of all things pop culture fuses the comic book, film and pop worlds with the best of lifestyle and fashion to create a genuinely compelling affair. 

The event’s showstopper sees Hollywood celebrity actress Brianna Hildebrand – who played sulky millennial mutant superhero “Negasonic Teenage Warhead” in conversation with Dubai MC and presenter Hisham Wyne.

“It’s brilliant to be able to take centre stage with a guest as big and interesting as Brianna Hildebrand. It’s going to a lovely, entertaining hour for fans. We’re going to chat about her career, playing Negasonic, her teenage crush on Ryan Reynolds, and a whole bunch of other light-hearted topics that really allow the audience to get to know her,” says Wyne.

POPCON will play host to other top celebrities from international studios such as Marvel, Disney and San Rio. Anchoring POPCON is the “Fiesta De Los Muertos”, where cosplay is the order of the day as fans show up as their favourite heroes and villains.

Collectively, POPCON Dubai brings together the biggest Hollywood stars and music acts in the world in a programme of live concerts, performances, special appearances, workshops, in-depth talks and fan meet and greets. Event moderator and host Hisham Wyne says he is privileged to be hosting many of the event’s more popular sessions. 

“POPCON’s seen tremendous success in other countries, and I’m very pleased to see it come to Dubai. Obviously, I’m also thrilled to have been asked to host Q&A sessions and fan meets for all these amazing stars that are coming down for the event. It’s a privilege to be involved with POPCON and the team there,” adds Wyne.

Apart from Hildebrand, Wyne will be chatting with Expendables action star Randy Couture, Luke Cage antagonist and Sons of Anarchy superstar Theo Rossi, and E! Fashion Police host Guiliana Rancic.

“My hosting role during POPCON is to make sure these stars are comfortable on stage, and are accessible and relaxed. We want everyone to be entertained in a welcoming environment,” Wyne concludes.
