Quality Herb’s Silymarin Is Claimed to Be a Potent Anti-Cancer Agent

Silymarin is a favanoid complex which is obtained from Milk Thistle plant. Quality Herb, a China based research firm, cited research works successfully concluded and claimed that this medicine has anti-cancer properties.

China - Though Silymarin or milk thistle extract’s liver protecting properties are well-known, Quality Herb, a Chinese herbal medicine producer, also highlighted the anti-cancer properties of the traditional yet little-known medicine during a press event. They said that it was discovered only in the last decade by a group of scientists that Silymarin can actually work as an anti-cancer agent.

“Since we are into commercial selling and exporting of Silymarin , we have not yet put up this information on our website as much research has to be done on this. Nothing that we or any other research institute has found is conclusive but we can at least claim that the molecular effects of the same make the milk thistle extract a potential cancer-fighting agent. The scientific fraternity is surprised to discover that Silymarin might well be the definitive answer for cancer”, told a senior researcher while speaking on behalf of Quality Herb.

According to him, researchers are now in the process of developing angiogenesis inhibitors, which, according to the Quality Herb researchers, can effectively stop the growth of blood vessels that contribute to the growth of tumours. Also, according to the researchers, silymarin can also work as a cell cycle regulator.

“We can clearly remember that one study was conducted by a different research group in 2008 which indicated that Silymarin might be effective in fighting prostate cancer. Since we neither approve nor disapprove of these claims made by third-party research groups, we do not advertise these on our website. However, we can safely claim that it is a powerful antioxidant and also has great liver protection properties”, told a sales manager of Quality Herb during the press conference.

According to him, Quality Herb is going to promote the well-known health benefits on the web for the next couple of months.
