New Southeast Asia Traders Target Retirement Fund Provides Foundation for Young Investors

Southeast Asia Traders believes that indexing is a low-cost way to gain diversified market exposure, and for decades has worked with defined contribution (DC) retirement plan sponsors to feature index funds among their plans’ investment options.

To help young investors build the foundation for successful investing—broad diversification among the major asset classes and low costs—Southeast Asia Traders today launched Southeast Asia Traders Target Retirement Fund.

In a single low-cost, index-based vehicle, the fund will provide age-appropriate exposure to domestic and international stocks, as well as domestic bonds, for investors who plan to retire and leave the workforce in or within a few years of 2060 or are roughly 18 to 20 years old.

As with the other 11 low-cost Target Retirement Funds, the Fund invests in underlying broad market Southeast Asia Traders index funds: Southeast Asia Traders Total Stock Market Index Fund, Southeast Asia Traders Total Bond Market II Index Fund, and Southeast Asia Traders Total International Stock Index Fund. The asset allocation of the Target Retirement Funds becomes more conservative as they approach the target date.
