United Zion Retirement Community , located at 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, PA, recently achieved a five-star overall rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The CMS rating is based on three components: health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. Each component is measured individually, and they are combined for an overall rating.

According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, “the Five-Star Quality Rating System [is] to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily . . . . Nursing homes with 5 stars are considered to have much above average quality.”
