When shopping for batting cages for sale, there are some factors to consider before settling for the best possible option available for you. Below are some of the tips to put in mind when shopping for batting cage nets and batting cages for sale.

Find out what type of netting is being used.

The type of sports netting used in making the batting cage is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing your choice of batting cages for sale. The most expensive part of the batting cage is the quality of materials used and as such, to avoid paying for an overpriced batting cage for sale, it is important that you consider the material used in making the nets. There are three types of materials available for making nets including Nylon, Polythene net, and High-density polypropylene. Most often than not, the knotted nylon is a better choice over the poly net as the knotted nylon have been tested to last longer compared to the polythene net. Additionally, the polythene net is known to be about 40 percent weaker and less expensive compared to the knotted nylon net.

Find out what you need to have a complete hitting system.

It is important to also inquire about what you need to have a complete hitting system. Most often than not, you will be required to purchase frame poles locally to support the sports netting. Some sellers unbundle the prices of their product to sell the net separately and other needed materials at a separate price, however, it is important to look for stores where the complete hitting system is sold as a whole or most part of it is sold as a whole. However, should you choose to buy the sports netting separately for an unbundled price, you will need to purchase additional materials including poles for L-screen and the L- screen. There’s, however, the option of purchasing the complete hitting set which comes with thumb screws which makes it easier to connect and tighten by hand. The major disadvantage of this, however, is that over time, hitters will eventually hit off the thumb screw, therefore, causing structural damage to the hitting system.

Are the frame poles on the inside or outside?

Perhaps the most important batting cage tip is to consider how safe the batting cage nets are and the entire batting cage as a whole. Consider whether the poles are located inside or outside the batting cage. When the poles are inside the system, then you may have to consider the materials the poles are made of as you do not want to be caught head on in a ricochet. Should the material used for making the pole appear to be rigid such that it cannot absorb the momentum of the ball, it might be a good option to choose the outside pole system.

Do you need any accessories?

Ask the store whether or not there is need to purchase accessories for the batting cage for sale. Some stores provide leaded rope while others sell it at a discount.

Find out the guarantee and return policy.

It is important to find out whether or not you can have the batting cage system returned after testing and confirming an unsatisfactory service. Some stores allow for up to 60 days while others allow for a return for up to a year.
